Senior Living open house

Garry’s Mod Group

NORWOOD: Teen Advisory Group holding Garry’s Mod event open to ages 10 and up; Garry’s Mod is physics sandbox game challenging kids to create their own NPCs and gameplay; will show new attendees the ropes, 3:30 p.m; Norwood Public Library.

Flag retirement

CANTON: Flag retirement ceremony, 5 p.m., hosted by the Canton Boy Scouts, Amvets Post 282; anyone with an old U.S. flag they would like to properly retire can bring it to the post by 4:45 p.m.; flags may also be dropped off in advance; post is also celebrating the U.S. Army’s birthday in conjunction with the ceremony, public invited to stay and enjoy refreshments.

Cub Scout Expo

DEKALB JUNCTION: Hermon-DeKalb Cub Scout Pack 144 hosting Cub Scout Expo, 6-7:30 p.m., Hermon Fire Department, 1051 County Route 21; free event, open to boys and girls 4-10 years old, siblings; bouncy house, slide-n-slide kickball (come with swimsuit and towel), face painting, ice cream sundaes, mini pinewood derby, contests and other activities.

Free Movie Friday
