CANTON: Canton native Nicole Thew Samolis, founder and president of three successful Syracuse companies, will share her entrepreneurial journey at the Women’s Business Bootcamp Luncheon, hosted by the SUNY Canton Small Business Development Center; will present “From Accidental Entrepreneur to Serial Entrepreneur: A Woman’s Journey” detailing her business development from leaving a career with a weekly paycheck to becoming a solopreneur and then finally becoming the serial entrepreneur she is today; sponsored by NBT Bank, the Women’s Business Bootcamp will be held from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the BOCES Education Services Center, 40 W. CANTON: St. Lawrence County Environmental Management Council meets, 6 p.m., second-floor conference room, Public Safety Complex, 49½ Court St., across Court Street from the Courthouse; speaker will be Dr. Greg Boyer, Professor of Chemistry at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and acting director for the Great Lakes Research Consortium, will discuss harmful algal blooms (HABs) and cyanotoxins; open to the public.
