ON THE MENU ON WEDNESDAY

Lenten luncheon

MASSENA: Lenten luncheon, a local 50-year tradition, St. John’s Episcopal Church, 139 Main St.; ecumenical worship service at noon on five Wednesdays during Lent, starting on March 13, and continuing through April 10; sponsored by the Greater Massena Ministerial Association; each week’s service is conducted by a different member of the local clergy; hymns, scripture readings, and a brief message; lunch in the church social hall follows each service, starting at approximately 12:30; members of several local churches will prepare and serve the meals; offering will be accepted to benefit the Massena Meals on Wheels; will be cancelled in the event of bad weather. Please watch the school cancellation notices; quiche and tossed salad, prepared by the churches of St. Peter’s parish.

Lunch for Lent

COLTON: Lenten lunches, noon, sponsored by TREC served at the St. Patrick’s Parish Center; all welcome.

Chicken, biscuits

OGDENSBURG: Chicken and biscuit dinner, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Ogdensburg Moose Lodge 814 and Woman of the Moose Chapter #199 hosting, 609 Pickering St.; supports OFA DC trip; tickets sold at the door will be divided up evenly amongst the entire class; obtain pre-sale tickets from a 7th or 8th grader that you know; dessert also available for sale.
