BRASHER FALLS – A night of terror await those who attend one of six dates for the 11th annual Tri-town Haunted Hayride in Brasher Falls on Fridays and Saturdays from Sept. 27-Oct. 12, held rain or shine.
Hayrides start at 5:30 p.m. and are non-scary for the little ones until dusk. After dusk, be prepared for the scarier hayrides.
Each year the number of props and volunteers grow, according to Kim Russell. She and her husband Ed own the farm near Brasher Falls, where the Tri-town Chamber of Commerce puts on the event. A huge Incredible Hulk blow-up is new this year.
Russell said people come from as far away as Cornwall, Plattsburgh and Watertown.
The cost is $5 for adults over 18 and $3 for 18 and under.
Proceeds benefit charities in the tri-town region, such as scholarships for St. Lawrence Central students, the local food pantry, Christmas baskets, and Tri-town Winter Carnival children activities.
The North Lawrence Fire Department will have a concession stand there, and the St. Lawrence Central Girls Softball team will sell popcorn.
The Russell farm hosting the event is located at 94 Leary Road, Brasher Falls.
