OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club is bringing back its popular “Touch-A-Truck” program for children as part of the Chamber of Commerce’s Car-B-Que on June 9.

The 2018 Touch-A-Truck has been scheduled for Saturday, June 9 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The event will take place in the mall parking lot adjacent to Northern Physical Therapy and the United Helpers Mosaic.

“We are currently looking for businesses and organizations within our community to display their vehicles for children to experience up close, especially large construction equipment,” said Touch-A-Truck Chair William Hosmer. “We are looking for businesses or organizations that are willing to provide a vehicle and a person who can talk to children and their families about their job, the vehicle’s job, and answer any questions from the inquisitive little minds in attendance.”

“Small children are thrilled when they see large vehicles. It’s rare for many of them to actually see a vehicle up close. This event is free and open to the public to enjoy.

The mission of Kiwanis is to help the children of the world and this event is one of the many ways we can bring a smile to a child’s face,” said Hosmer.
