CANTON – St. Lawrence University Associate Professor of Music and Director of the Newell Center for Arts Technology Christopher Watts will perform a collection of new songs on Friday, Feb. 7, in Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall.
The event is free and open to the public.
The songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will present ‘Dark Times’, a concert showcasing 10 original songs about isolation, alienation, and polarization. According to Watts, the program explores different ways in which people separate themselves from one another, especially by adopting an “us versus them” mentality.
The show will also feature the work of lighting designer Nathan Torres ’11. There will be a reception following the event.
