CANTON -- St. Lawrence University will host a commemoration of 100 years since the ending of World War I beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, in Gunnison Memorial Chapel.

The signing of the Armistice took place at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, formally ending World War I.

“World War One At Home and Abroad” welcomes students, faculty, staff and community members to come together to remember those Laurentians who died during The Great War as well as those men and women from near and far who participated in the world’s first global conflict.
