St. Lawrence University faculty members to take part in Faculty Café and Book Talk series

CANTON – Several St. Lawrence University faculty members will take part in the Fall 2018 Faculty Café and Book Talk series.

All presentations, which are free and open to the public, will begin at 4 p.m. and will be held in different locations across campus on the following Fridays.

On Oct. 5 in Sykes Formal Lounge, Cathy Crosby, associate professor and chair of psychology, and Mark Oakes, associate professor of psychology, will present “Obligating the Juror: The Impact of Oaths on Juror Behavior.”

On Nov. 9 in Dean Eaton Lounge, Melissa Schulenberg, Flint professor of fine arts, will discuss and demonstrate various techniques of traditional Japanese woodblock printing.

On Nov. 30 in Sykes Formal Lounge, Peter Ladd, associate professor of education, will discuss his new book “The Talk Therapy Revolution: Neuroscience, Phenomenology, and Mental Health.”

Finally on Dec. 7 in Sykes Formal Lounge, Brad Baldwin, professor of biology, will present “Campus Carnivory: Can We Eat Healthier, While Saving the Planet?”
