POTSDAM – The St. Lawrence County Arts Council will hold their annual silk scarf painting event on Saturday, Dec. 4 to raise funds to support the work of the council. Registration is required by Nov. 15 to reserve scarves for each participant.
Participants may dye up to three velvet silk scarves, with the assistance of artist Virginia Burnett.
Three color groups are offered during different time slots on Dec. 4: pinks and purples from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; rainbow adventure from 12:30 to 2 p.m.; ocean colors from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Participation is a $15 donation to the council for the day, plus $12 per scarf (limit three scarves per person).
This event will be held in the Crafts Studio on the second floor of Downtown Snell Hall in Potsdam.
