POTSDAM -- Students, community members, and local leaders are hosting a town hall at Potsdam Town Hall community room, 18 Elm St., on Wednesday, May 29 from 6-8 p.m. to kickoff the next phase of the campaign for the Green New Deal.
The local town hall event is being organized by NC350 and Sunrise, a community organizing movement working with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) to push the Green New Deal.
The event is one of 250 similar town halls being held around the country on the Road to a Green New Deal tour this spring, said a press release from Sunrise.
