CANTON – Whether it's with your favorite furry friend, your child, or your whole family, Santa will gladly pose for photos again Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Santa Paws Fundraiser at Potsdam Agway.
Photo sessions will run from 10 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3 p.m.
Professional photographer Genine Gehret from Keepsake Photography in DeKalb Junction will be taking photos suitable for Christmas cards or gifts for a $10 donation.
Proceeds benefit Spay/Neuter/Now to help them keep low-cost spaying and neutering available in St. Lawrence County.
Spay/Neuter/Now (SNN) is a grass roots, home grown North Country nonprofit organization helping people with the cost of spaying or neutering their companion animals, through a voucher program and a spay/neuter mobile clinic.
Due to the current cat overpopulation which has reached crisis proportions in the North Country, the mobile clinic (Neuter Commuter II) is focusing on cats while the voucher program gives assistance for dog spay/neuter.
SNN supports Trap-Neuter-Return program for feral cats as well as Early Age-Pediatric spay/neuter which has the support of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
SNN is not subsidized and does not receive any public money; it relies on donations and fund raisers.
