OGDENSBURG – The NYS B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation Tournament (NYBCF) will be held at the Dobisky Visitor’s Center, 100 Riverside Drive, on Saturday, Aug. 10 and Sunday, Aug. 11.

More than 160 fishermen and some of their families will visit Ogdensburg to participate in this tournament, said a press release from the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ogdensburg.

The tournament could potentially economically impact the area with $171,600 in direct and indirect dollars, the press release said.

Boats will launch at 4 a.m. on Sunday and return after 1 p.m. for weigh-ins. An awards ceremony will follow. The tournament will finish with six place winners on Sunday, Aug. 1.

The tournament will be part of the chamber’s Bootlegger’s Weekend Aug. 10 and 11. The wine, beer and craft event will also feature the 10th Mountain Div. Brass Band, city-wide garage sales, 5K race, pub crawl, fireworks and a Seaway Cruisers Cruise In.

The chamber is looking for vendors for the vendor and craft fair slated for Sunday, Aug. 11 from 1-6 p.m.

The following vendors are registered to date: Delightful Totes by Dani, Natural Nook, Newcombe’s Maple Ridge, Seaway Outfitters, Sunny in the Hollow, Thousand Island Winery, Touchstone Crystal and Venditti Vineyards.
