CANTON – The 3rd Annual North Country Kids Expo, hosted by the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Roos House Athletic Center SUNY Canton on Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

For the 3rd year in a row, kids and families alike will experience a day filled with activities, play zones, on-site demonstrations and have a chance to gather information from local businesses, organizations, and vendors who cater to the families of the North Country.

The event entry fee is free for kids 17 and under, thanks to the Chamber’s Leadership Circle Member sponsors North Country Savings Bank and St. Lawrence Health System.

Some activities may require payment; more details will be released by the chamber in coming days so families can be prepared. However, most interactive activities will be free, the chamber said in a press release.

“We’re excited to see what type of interactive displays and activities our businesses and organizations create for the Expo. Families can get free Child Safety IDs from the St. Lawrence Co. Sheriff’s Department and chat with representatives from the Nicandri Nature Center, 4-H Camp Overlook, St. Lawrence Health System, Deep Root Center for Self-Directed Learning and more,” said event coordinator Jo Ann Roberts.

The chamber started this annual event as an initiative to give businesses, vendors, camps, and organizations the opportunity to showcase the fun and engaging activities as well as the vital resources and services they have to offer to families and children throughout the North Country region, said the chamber press release.

This year’s show is taking place before spring break, providing more time for parents to plan their spring and summer activities with the valuable resources and information learned at the Expo.
