MASSENA -- A free introductory nature photography course for beginners ages 16 and up, and any skill level wishing to work on their photography skills, will start March 12 at the Nicandri Nature Center.
The course consists of six sessions held the second Thursday of each month from March through July at 6:00-6:30 p.m. It is instructed by Charlene Dumas.
Participants should bring a camera with manual settings and the camera manual if possible. A point-and-shoot camera can be used as long as it has the ability to change manual settings. A limited number of cameras are available for loan for those who wish to participate but do not have a camera.
The course will teach an introduction to nature photography, manual settings overview, ISO, shutter speed, aperature, and other options with photos, including editing and scene settings.
Nature photography club meets immediately following the lessons and participants are welcome to stay for the club.
