Medicare information from United Healthcare Medicare Solutions is available Monday, Oct. 17 at the Goose Landing Restaurant, 25 Reservation St., Winthrop at 2 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the Best Western University Inn, 90 East Main St., Canton at 10 a.m.
United Healthcare Medicare Solutions sales representative Kelly J. Buell will present the overview and will also be available for questions. Buell will explain to Medicare beneficiaries how the Medicare program works and the options available.
The overview, called "Medicare Made Clear," will examine the coverage differences between Part A, Part B, and Prescription Part D, as well as Medicare supplements, Medicare advantage plans and Medicare prescription drug plans.
It will also provide an explanation of the EPIC changes for Jan. 1, 2012, an overview of Extra Help and the Medicare Savings Program, which provide those who qualify with additional financial assistance to cover prescription drugs and Part B premiums.
