Come to the library July 9 to receive a Reading Club book log. Read to earn prizes. Prizes are given at the end of summer for the most books read in each age group.

Also, readers can enter into drawings for a gift certificate to Hometown Café. Adults who play book bingo may enter to win an Amazon gift card.

A space-themed reading program for K-6th graders in the Madrid-Waddington community runs July 16-August 23 Mondays-Thursday at 10-11 a.m. There will be stories, games, crafts and experiments, such as making space rocks, and pretending to by astronauts.

Pre-K story hour will be July 8-August 22 on Fridays at 11 a.m. with stories, games, and crafts.

A traveling planetarium will be at the Madrid Library on July 17 at 1:30 p.m. Little children should be able to sit still for 1 hour to make the show enjoyable for all. Register for the planetarium at www.hepburnlibraryofmadrid.org/travelingplanetarium .
