CANTON – St. Lawrence Valley Paddler's first race of the 2019 season, the Little River Ramble, is set to start from the boat launch next to the Park Street Bridge, near St. Lawrence University, at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20.
This is a very low-key event on waters protected from spring winds by high banks and woods. Registration is from noon to 1 p.m. College and recreational races are about two miles. Kayak and marathon class races are about six miles. Classes will be determined on race day. There is no pro class, but there will be a separate college class.
The entry fee is $25 for adults, $20 for SLVP members, $5 for students, and free for Wounded Warriors. More info: www.slvpaddlers.org
