POTSDAM -- Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley will host three new workshops in October aimed at helping those in mid-life and beyond.
The workshops, held on alternating Wednesday evenings in October, will feature topics on end-of-life planning, maintaining resiliency through life changes and self-care skills.
“First Steps for End-of-Life Planning” will be held Oct. 2, and will walk participants through the basics of starting an end-of-life plan.
“Finding Meaning at Mid-Life and Beyond” will be held Oct. 16. The session is intended to help individuals normalize the grief that comes with identity loss and offer resiliency tips.
“Self-Care for the Sandwich Generation” will be held Oct. 30. This workshop will offer a calming space to learn about self-care techniques and resources, said a Hospice press release.
All workshops will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Hospice Center located on Route 11 between Potsdam and Canton. Light refreshments will be available.
Admission is free; however, pre-registration is required. Interested individuals can register by contacting Samantha Jones at 315-265-3105 or samj@hospiceslv.org.
