CANTON -- Lee Scaggs and Rosemary Phillips will present photos, tips and stories from their recent hike of the Northville-Placid Trail on Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon-1 p.m. at Grasse River Outfitters, 45 Main St.
Northville-Placid is a 135-mile thru hike, common among Adirondack peak baggers and sought out for those who like to spend nights in the wilderness. For Scaggs and Phillips it was an 11-day journey.
Unlike many of the people who hike this trail, Scaggs and Phillips consider themselves an unlikely pair to take on the challenge.
Their presentation is part of a new series called “Notes from the Trail” to be held at Grasse River Outfitters.
The talk is free and open to the public.
