MASSENA – The Massena Moms group is sponsoring an "Awareness Party" to educate the community on the international growth of human trafficking and on ways to help on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Trinity Catholic School cafeteria.
There are more slaves in the world now than there were before the abolition of slavery in 1865. Today, human traffic slavery affects millions worldwide.
As part of the awareness event, the group will be showcasing handmade products made by survivors of human trafficking, with profits going to fund their education, and provide prevention programs for those most at risk.
Free shipping and door prizes available for those who place an order that day.
Refreshments will be provided.
