GOUVERNEUR -- Gouverneur Hospital will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, April 19 to celebrate upgraded imaging services equipment including a new CT scanner.
Through generous donor support, the hospital now features the latest Definition AS64eco CT equipment. The new 64-slice CT scanner will afford many clinical gains for patient including reduced scan times, reduced breath-hold times, and ultimately a reduction for diagnosis time, hospital officials say.
The low-dose software allows for reduced patient dosage when appropriate while maintaining the image quality desired for scanning.
A welcome reception is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. with the ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at 9 a.m. in the hospital’s imaging department at 77 West Barney St.
Attendees should access the event through the hospital’s main entrance. Light refreshments will be available. No RSVPs are necessary.
