COLTON -- The Friends of Higley Flow State Park will have a combined ski swap and trail work day on Saturday morning, Nov. 6 beginning at 9 a.m. at the park.
Those with ski equipment they no longer use can drop it off at the park office (first right after the entrance booth) beginning at 8:30. All cross-country or downhill ski equipment is welcome. Unsold equipment should be picked up by noon, or it will be considered a donation to the Friends group.
Participants in the ski swap need not volunteer to help with the trail work, but it is hoped they will help walk the trails and pick up debris.
Volunteers for the trail work should sign in at the office. There are no tolls to enter the park during this time of year.
Members of both the St. Lawrence and Clarkson University X-Country Ski Teams will be present.
For more information about the Friends, the trail day, or other sponsored by the group, please may Tom French at 265-1351 or visit www.higleyfriends.org.
