OGDENSBURG -- A free tax filing assistance event hosted by the state Department of Taxation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 5, at the Public Library, 312 Washington St. from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Tax Department employees will be available to help taxpayers e-file their taxes for free on a first-come, first-served basis.
North Country taxpayers with adjusted gross household incomes of $64,000 or less in 2016 qualify to electronically prepare and file their tax returns using free online software at this event.
