Due to the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) social distancing recommendations, all St. Lawrence County rabies clinics scheduled for March and April have been postponed.
Meanwhile clinics have been scheduled for August, September and November in Canton, and others will be scheduled in other locations.
The cancelled clinics were to be held at the Norwood Fire Department on March 31st, Parishville Fire Station on April 16th, Lisbon Fire Station on April 22nd, and Morristown Highway Barn on April 29th.
The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department is working closely with each municipality to get the clinics rescheduled. Once new dates and times have been finalized, a notice will go out to the community and the schedule will be updated.
Clinics at the Human Services Building in Canton are set for Aug. 18 and Sept. 15 from 5-7 p.m. and Nov. 14 from 10 a.m.-noon. They will require pre-registration. Pre-register by visiting the Public Health website one week prior to the clinic date at www.stlawco.org/departments/publichealth/rabiescontrol. Given the nature of the epidemic situation, it is advised that people call Public Health at the 315-386-2325 to confirm the schedule.
