CANTON -- Nature’s Storehouse, 21 Main St., will offer free henna tattoos on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 1-3 p.m.
In addition, Canton Apples will offer free samples of apple cider at the store during that time, in several flavors, all made with local fruit.
The free tattoos and cider offerings are part of the Remington Arts Festival taking place downtown, which celebrates local artists, history and culture.
Practiced mainly in India, mehndi, also known as henna, is the application of a temporary form of skin decoration. Henna dye is made of the powder of crushed henna plant leaves mixed with a mildly acidic liquid such as lemon juice or strong tea.
Henna tattoos are temporary, lasting about 10 days.
