CANTON – Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County presents the cooking series Farm-to-Table with Josh Taillon, with four planned workshops in February and March.

Josh Taillon will share techniques to increase your comfort in the kitchen while utilizing whole foods and local ingredients. Taillon is a Madrid native with years of experience utilizing the bounty of The North Country. He and his wife Alicia plan to open The Blue House restaurant in Madrid in the spring of 2020.

Every class features ingredients grown in the North Country and includes hands-on opportunities, sampels and recipes.

Workshops will be held at the Extension Learning Farm’s kitchen on the following dates from 6-8 p.m.:

• In the Kitchen with Your Sweetie: Couples Class, Wednesday, Feb. 12;

• Beyond Roasting: Creative Cooking with Root Vegetables, Tuesday, Feb. 25;

• Using the Whole Bird: Chicken and Duck, Wednesday, March 11;

• Enjoying Lesser Known Meats: Lamb and Goat, Thursday, March 26.

Students can attend any or all of the classes they wish. The cost is $20 per workshop.

Space is limited, and pre-registration is required: stlawrence.cce.cornell.edu, 315-379-9192 ext. 237.
