POTSDAM -- Two Crane School of Music student ensembles will perform during SUNY Potsdam's annual Family Weekend 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 in Hosmer Concert Hall.
The Crane Wind Ensemble will present several 20th century pieces, including Charles O'Neill's "Overture: Builders of Youth" and Percy Aldridge Grainger's "Colonial Song." The Crane Jazz Ensemble will feature selections from "Groove Merchant," "Una Mas" by Kenny Dorham and "Central Park West" by John Coltrane.
The event is free, and open to the public.
