MASSENA -- The St. Lawrence County Trapper's Association’s Summer Fur Rendezvous is set for a second year at the Massena Rod and Gun Club, with vendors, demonstrations, an auction, and trading of everything trapping.
It will run Saturday, July 30, 8 a.m. to dark and Sunday, July 31, from 8 a.m. until mid-afternoon. A trapping class is set to start Friday night.
The gate fee is $2, with kids 12 and under admitted free.
Camping for the weekend costs $20, paid to the Rod and Gun Club.
A trapper training class, certified by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 29, finishing up Saturday starting at 8 a.m.

SLCTA is a non-profit association that sends kids to NYS DEC Environmental Summer camps year after year, and gives an annual $500 scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing a degree in the environmental field.
