CANTON -- Cornell Cooperative Extension is offering a small ruminant parasite management refresher class on June 20 from 7-9 p.m. in the front classroom at the Extension Learning Farm in Canton.
Controlling internal parasites is a challenge on sheep and goat farms, especially in wet, warm weather.
Want a quick refresher on pasture management, worm types, de-wormer types, how to decide when to de-worm?
Here's a chance to get an update.
The class includes a lecture, some handy references and then questions and answers. The class is designed for both sheep and goat owners (alpaca and llama owners welcome, too).
Registration is appreciated by email at bmf9@cornell.edu, on-line at our website http://stlawrence.cce.cornell.edu or call the office at 315-379-9192 ext. 227 or 237.
There is $5 charge at the door per farm to cover materials.
