OGDENSBURG – Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center (CHMC) and the North Country Prenatal Perinatal Council (NCPPC) will help explain the ins and outs of health insurance and provide a location to apply for state-sponsored insurances in October and November workshops throughout the county.
NCPPC's Community Health Advocates can help in many ways including: enrolling in affordable health insurance or other health care options, finding low-cost health care alternatives for anyone without insurance, locating healthcare providers, understanding how your health insurance works, finding programs to assist with getting prescription medications, and dealing with medical bills and hospital financial aid programs.
The NCPPC staff will be at the CHMC Health Centers in October and November as follows:
• Waddington Health Center, 4 Montgomery Heights, Nov. 1, from 2-4:30 p.m.,
• Madrid Health Center, 16 Church Street, Thursday, Oct. 13 and Nov. 10, from 8-11 a.m.
• Canton Health Center, 39 West Main Street, Thursday, Oct. 13 and Nov. 10 from 1-4 p.m.
• Hammond Area Health Center, 225 St. Lawrence Avenue, Wednesday, Oct. 12 and Nov. 9 from 8-11 a.m. and Monday, Oct. 24 and Nov. 28, from 2-5 p.m.
• Heuvelton Health Center, 103 Rensselaer St., Thursday, Oct. 28, from 2-5 p.m.
• Claxton-Hepburn Health Center, 100 Horwood Place, Ogdensburg, Monday, Nov. 7 from 2-4:30 p.m.
