POTSDAM – Helping Hands of Potsdam’s Cindy Talcott Memorial Golf Tournament Saturday, July 21 at Potsdam Town and Country Club is hoping at least to match the $30,000 raised through the tournament last year.
Helping Hands is looking for both golfers and sponsors for the Cindy Talcott Memorial. Golf is $80 per person which includes cart, lunch, 18 holes, and prizes. Sponsorships are available at $100, $250, $500 or $1,000.
To sponsor or play in the golf tournament call HH Director Tom Chappell at 268-0633. Sponsorships can be mailed to Helping Hands, attn.: Betty Connolly, PO Box 92, Hannawa Falls, NY 13647.
Helping Hands is celebrating 15 years in operation this year. It was founded by Cindy Talcott in the basement of the Potsdam Church of the Nazarene, and has grown steadily over the years, offering a variety of programs and services to people from all over St Lawrence County.
Services include a free community lunch four days a week, free furniture, appliances, beds and housewares, heating assistance, utility assistance, car repairs, help to fire victims, and a food pantry.
Helping Hands is located at 5868 Rt 56 in Hannawa Falls and is open 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
