CANTON -- The Canton Yoga Loft is hosting "Structural Yoga: Adapting to the Individual" on Saturday, Nov. 16.
This two-part workshop with guest presenter Mary Bartel is designed for both yoga lovers who want to enhance their personal practice and for yoga teachers who want to add to their teaching toolboxes.
People may register for either Part I ($45) or Part II ($80), or both ($125). To reserve a place, visit www.yoga-loft.org. Pay online or with a check at the door.
In Part I, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., students will explore the functional movements and normal range of motion which make up yoga poses.
In Part II, 2-6 p.m., the class will identify the function of yoga poses and explore the movements from Part I that make up the primary yoga poses. We'll learn how to incorporate yoga movements for dynamic practices which enhance specific benefits, and how to modify and adapt yoga postures to meet individual needs.
Mary Bartel is a structural yoga therapist, yoga teacher trainer, and master yoga teacher at Inner Quest Yoga in Saranac Lake.
The Yoga Loft is located upstairs at 17 Main St.
