POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s (CPH) Fibromyalgia/Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Support Group will meet Tuesday, March 3, 12-1 p.m., 59 Main Street, second floor, Clarkson Hall.

Handicapped and patient parking is available in front of Clarkson Hall.

This month’s topic will be “The role of integrative medicine in managing fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome."

Group Facilitator Leslie Russek, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, will explain how the term “integrative medicine” is replacing the terms “alternative” and “complementary medicine.”

Integrative medicine includes treatments such as acupuncture, meditation, massage, and aquatic therapy.

According to Dr. Russek, “There is a potential benefit of integrating these approaches into standard medical care, with evidence to support it.”

All are welcome to attend and share their own experiences.

For more information, please contact Dr. Leslie Russek, at lrussek@clarkson.edu. Dr. Russek is a professor in Clarkson University’s Physical Therapy Department and specialist in pain management.
