• Toddlers Teaming Up! with Gulfer Ersoy - Mondays, Sept. 12, 19, 26, from 2-2:45 p.m., ages 2-4. This course teaches toddlers basic math and literacy skills through phonic and math games. Children will be able to recognize letters, numbers and sight words at the end of the course. There will be a circle time and structured group activities with well-known nursery rhymes and songs, as well as themed arts & crafts in each lesson. Parents may accompany their children during the course or they may prefer staying out of the classroom to build independence. $20.

• CaribFunk with A'Keitha Carey – Mondays, Sept. 12-Oct. 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., ages 8-12. This class exhibits culture, tradition, funk, and fusion. Styles of music include but are not limited to Afro-Cuban jazz, reggae, soca, calypso, salsa, zouk and percussion. Bring clean dance/exercise shoes - street shoes will damage the surface of our floor. $45 for 6 weeks.

• Arts Around the World: Russian Khokhloma Spoon Painting with Kris Rozelle - Saturday, Sept. 17, 1:30-3 p.m., ages 6-12. Wooden spoons have been made in virtually every nation on earth and (compared to silver or pewter or gold spoons) represent the ordinary artisan and reflect the life of ordinary folk: this is their "folk art." Students will paint their very own distinctive folk art spoon. $12 + $4 materials fee.
