POTSDAM – The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org), will host a community arts showcase Saturday, May 11, at 7 p.m. in the Proscenium Theater at SUNY Potsdam’s Performing Arts Center.

The actors will present Michael Hollinger’s “Eureka! A Techno-Mystery.”

The play is a comedic journey of inquiry and perseverance. The dance group will perform modern dance pieces with classical influences celebrating Divas throughout the ages.

The show will last about two hours with a 15-minute intermission.

This performance celebrates the amazing talents of people with developmental disabilities involved in The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence’s Community Arts Program.

Sponsorship is provided by Community Bank, N.A., North Country Public Radio, SUNY Potsdam’s Theatre and Dance Department and Tracy’s Used Cars.

Tickets cost $6 for adults, students/seniors tickets cost $4, and tickets for children five and under are $2 each.

To reserve seating, contact Michelle Quinell-Gayle at mquinell@slnysarc.org or 315-386-3529 or tickets may be purchased at the door.

The Foundation of St. Lawrence NYSARC is holding a free art mixer just prior to the performance from 5-7 p.m. in the lobby of the PAC Theater.

The public is invited to view artwork created by nearly 40 different artists supported through the arts programs.

The fund raiser and art display is free and open to the public. Enjoy entertainment by Art Mixer host, Barb Heller from North County Public Radio, as well as food and a cash bar. Come meet the artists, actors, and dancers, visit the silent auction, and purchase artwork made by people with disabilities.
