POTSDAM -- Two performances by Angela Marion are scheduled as part of the Ives Park Concert Series on Sept. 15.

Marion will perform her signature Miss Angie Beeler’s Kids Concert from 3-4:30 p.m. and then an adult show later at 6 p.m. as herself.

Kids and their parents will learn the basics of rhythm, melody, harmony, deep listening, song structure, and coordination at Miss Angie Beeler’s Kids Concert. The performance is a relaxed and fun, heartfelt journey through a mix of guided and exploratory singing, dancing, and instrument play. All are welcome, participation is a must, said the series website.

Later that evening at 6 p.m., Marion will perform music that spans genres with ease and fluidity and sincerity, says the series website.

With deeply personal to fictional mermaid tales, Marion keeps the audience wondering and wanting more, said the series website.

The rain location for both performances will be the United Methodist Church, 26 Main St.

A wide range of folk, funk, rock, blues, Americana, jazz and children’s music will be featured at this year’s Ives Park Concert Series.

The free series will run concerts every Saturday from Aug. 25 through Sept. 29.

The series is supported by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council, with funding from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program.
