CANTON -- St. Lawrence Valley Paddlers together with St. Lawrence University's Laurentian Paddlesports Club, is hosting Rapid Media’s 2019 Paddling Film Festival World Tour on April 25 in Canton.
The event will be held on the St. Lawrence University campus at the Sullivan Student Center - Winston Room, 23 Romoda Dr. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and films show from 7-9 p.m.
The Paddling Film Festival is shown around the world and features a wide variety of films. The films showcase river, lake and ocean paddling and range from backcountry adventure to extreme whitewater paddling featuring wild places and paddling lifestyles.
Whether you are an adventurous or armchair paddler, these films will provide a fun evening of entertainment, said a press release from the college.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased online or at Grasse River Outfitters, Nature’s Storehouse, Brewer Bookstore, or the St. Lawrence University Student Center. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.
In addition to the films, the event will feature raffle items and door prizes, including a GRB canoe paddle, an Aqua Bound kayak paddle, a NRS paddle bag, a Seals paddle bag and paddling gear.
The event is sponsored and supported by Northwest River Supplies Inc. (NRS), Seals Inc., Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company, GRB Newman Design, Grasse River Outfitters, Nature’s Storehouse, Midnight Seamstress and St. Lawrence University Laurentian Paddlesports Club.
