MASSENA -- The Norwood Model Railroad Club is sponsoring its 10th Annual Model Train, Toy & Collectible Expo at the Massena Arena on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission is $4. Children younger than 10 are admitted free.

There will be more than seven operating model train layouts of different sizes and gauges set up by various clubs from New York and Canada available for viewing.

Many vendors will selling and appraising model railroad gear and equipment and collectibles, like toys, coins and sports cards.

A free clinic on model railroad scenery (Creation Basic Ground Cover) will be offered as well.

Weather permitting there will be free miniature outdoor train rides for young and old.

Refreshments will be available to benefit the Massena Recreation Commission.

The Norwood Model Railroad Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the continuing education and promotion of the model railroading hobby.

The group regularly models a freelance HO model railroad based in Upstate New York. This railroad line extends from the City of Ogdensburg, to Norwood, and is loosely based on the local historic railroad and the New York Central.
