OGDENSBURG -- The HEART (Claxton-Hepburn Employees Always Reaching for Tomorrow) Committee's 10th Annual Duck Race runs Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m. at the City Docks area.
1,000 plastic ducks will be set adrift in the St. Lawrence River to be carried by the current to the
finish line, where the first place duck will win its sponsor $1,000.
Second through fifth places win $100 prizes, and last place gets $25 gift card prize to Wal-Mart. There is a $100 prize to the person who sold the winning ticket.
There will also be "early bird" drawings on May 13, May 20, May 27, June 3 for $25 gift cards to Wal-Mart, Olympia Sports, Pizza Hut and Bradley's Service Station.
Tickets are $5 apiece. You get to name your duck. You do not need to be present to win. Tickets are available at the CHMC Foundation office at 503 Mansion Ave., or call 393-9175.
All proceeds go towards CHMC Medical Center equipment and supplies.
