POTSDAM -- Enduraphin, a Clarkson University sports nutrition product startup, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding to begin production of their patent-pending product which they intend to market to athletes.
Businessman David Reh led the round with participation from Tim and Kim Myers, Ty and Crystal Muse, Frank Meier, Dan Mori, and Binghamton University, said a press release from Clarkson.
Enduraphin was founded by Danny Drake, a 2016 Clarkson Engineering and Management grad, and Mike Dalberth, who took their idea to CU’s Shipley Center for Innovation.
Enduraphin now calls Binghamton home, and the plan is to deliver high-quality the product this fall.
“The Shipley Center allowed us to take a problem we faced, see if it was a problem others faced, and then develop a solution. We worked on marketing, pitched in business plan competitions, attended 3-day startup, and got connected to a patent attorney to file our product,” said Drake.
“The goal of the Shipley Center is to give innovators and entrepreneurs the tools and support they need to make their ideas a reality. We’re excited and proud to be a part of that process for Enduraphin,” said Matt Draper, Interim Vice President for Development & Alumni Relations/Executive Director of the Shipley Center for Innovation.
“This funding will allow us to develop and produce an all-natural whey protein product that athletes can easily access post workout,” Drake said.
“The funds raised will be deployed throughout upstate New York to produce a finished product,” said Dalberth. It will then be distributed to athletic facilities across New York and the Northeast.
The company is looking to network with local teams, fitness facilities, and universities.
