Spectrum phone service for some business clients went down on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson from the company said they are in the process of restoring the service.
"Our engineers are working to resolve a hardware issue affecting voice services for some small and medium business clients. Service has returned for the vast majority of affected clients, and we hope to completely restore service soon. We apologize for any inconvenience to our clients," according to an email from Lara Pritchard, Spectrum northeast region senior director of communications.
Pritchard did not immediately respond to a request for specific outage numbers for St. Lawrence County.
In the North Country, the Spectrum online outage map only shows service interrupted in Watertown.
