POTSDAM – The Potsdam Co-op’s 22nd Annual Holiday Baking Fest & Silent Auction will be held Sunday, Dec. 15 from noon-3 p.m. at the Potsdam Town Hall.
The event is a fundraiser for the Potsdam Neighborhood Center.
The Community Room at the Potsdam Town Offices will be transformed into a holiday café, where attendees can taste before bidding.
An assortment of homemade cakes, cookies, pies, savory treats and more are expected. There will also be coffee, tea and hot cider.
Silent voting for the best recipe in each category will be held.
The Co-op also invites bakers of all levels to participate in the fundraising event by entering the friendly contest portion of the baking fest with a special recipe. Entries will have a chance to win a $25 Good Food gift card from the Co-op.
Bakers should be aware that due to Health Department regulations the contest can no longer accept entries with home-canned foods; cream cheese frosted items; cream-filled pastries or cupcakes; cream, custard, meringue, sweet potato or pumpkin pie; or cheesecake, baked beans, vegetable or meat empanadas and meat or fish items.
