MADRID -- Madrid dairy farmer and New York Farm Bureau President David Fisher will hold a press conference call today at 10 a.m. from Washington, D.C. to unveil the organization’s national public policy agenda.
President Fisher is in the nation’s capital along with 15 New York Farm Bureau members from across the state.
They will be meeting with Senators and representatives to talk about several major federal issues for farmers. These will include farm labor reform, changes to federal dairy policy, truth in labeling, infrastructure spending, and industrial hemp regulations.
NYFB’s Senior Associate Director of Public Policy and National Affairs, Lauren Williams, will join President Fisher on the call and will be available for questions following their brief joint presentation.
