St. Lawrence County had about 200 more nonfarm jobs in October 2019 than in October 2018, according to figures released today by the New York State Department of Labor.
DOL reports there were 40,500 nonfarm jobs in the county this past October, compared with 40,300 a year earlier. That is an increase of 0.5%.
To our east, in Franklin County, 200 more jobs were also reported there, rising from 19,100 to 19,300, or 1% more.
To the west, in Jefferson County, 300 jobs were added from October 2018 to October 2019, from 42,300 to 42,600, or 0.7%.
