According to the state Department of Labor, there were 38,700 in St. Lawrence County in June 2019. The department recorded 38,900 jobs in June 2018, reflecting a .5 percent decline.
These numbers compare to Franklin County totals which were recorded at 19,000 (down from 19,200 a year earlier) and Lewis County numbers which held fast at 6,800, the same as in June 2019.
In the Watertown-Fort Drum Metro Area, non farm job totals also remained the same from a year ago in June at 43,800.
