North Country This Week
MASSENA – There is still time to get in nominations for the 87th annual awards dinner for the Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce.
The organization is accepting nominees for Business Leadership Award, Excellence in Entrepreneurship, Community Support Award and Massena Chamber Volunteer of the Year, until Sunday, Dec. 1.
“We do have a few nominations,” said Nathan Lashomb, chamber executive director. However, the director said the organization would like more nominees for this year’s awards.
Nominees for Business Leadership Award and Excellence in Entrepreneurship awards should be chamber members only, Lashomb pointed out. And, the Volunteer of the Year award will be bestowed on a standout chamber of commerce volunteer. The Community Supporter award can be given to any community member who is nominated, Lashomb said.
Any community member can submit nominations, said the director.
Nominations can be submitted online at www.massenachamber.com/award-nominations.
The dinner, dubbed “Winter Wonderland,” will be held Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at Vino Vidi Vici, 10 W. Orvis St. The event is sponsored in part by Alcoa.
Tickets are $35 per person, $60 per couple or $240 for a corporate table (up to 8 people). Seating is limited and the chamber is requesting RSVPs by the end of the business day on Dec. 11.
To RSVP visit www.MassenaChamber.com/Dinner, or call the chamber offices at 315-769-3525.
