CANTON -- Meagan Hogan, PA-C, has joined the Neurology team at St. Lawrence Health System’s Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
She is seeing patients at St. Lawrence Health System Medical Campus, 6119 US Route 11, Canton.
Hogan is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and earned her Master of Science, Physician Assistant Studies degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY. Her clinical rotations were completed at Canton-Potsdam Hospital in the areas of neurology, pediatrics, family medicine, general surgery, cardiology, behavioral health, emergency medicine, and women’s health.
Hogan is a North Country native, and said she finds neurology fascinating as it involves so many spectrums of every individual. “It was always my goal to come home after I finished with my schooling. I am looking forward to working with the residents of our local communities,” she noted.
She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support.
As a Neurology Physician Assistant, Ms. Hogan will be working with Neurologist Hamza Malek, MD, to come up with the best tailored treatment plan for each of her patients. She will perform exams, order and interpret various tests and laboratory results, and make diagnoses.
