OGDENSBURG -- Seaway Outfitters had its grand opening and ribbon cutting Tuesday in the Greenbelt area between the original Customs Building and the City Boat Launch.
The recreational tour guide and rental business is owned and run by Tim Martell, a certified naturalist with 15 years of experience who is originally from Morrisburg, Ont.
He has just moved back to the area from Florida where he owned and operated the tour business Manatee Guides in Bonita Springs.
Seaway Outfitters delivers and rents paddleboards, kayaks, bicycles and rollerblades at hourly, half-day and whole-day rates.
Martell says he has 25 bicycles in sizes for 3-year-olds through adults, rollerblades in kids’ sizes, nine double kayaks at $15 per hour and singles at $8 per hour, and 10 paddle boards to rent. He will provide whatever life jackets, elbow, knee and wrist pads, helmets and paddles are needed.
He will operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The store’s phone number is 315-877-2206, website is www.seawayoutfitters.com, and they are on Facebook.
