MASSENA -- A $3,000 check was recently presented to Mike McCabe, director of the Massena Recreation Commission, by Alcoa employees to benefit the Massena Minor Hockey program.
The check was part of an ACTION Grant completed by nine Alcoa employee volunteers who gave their time to help rebuild the Massena Arena annex doors.
“The Massena Minor Hockey Association would like to thank Alcoa Corp. for the materials and manpower it provided in restoring the side entrance door at the Massena Arena Annex,” said McCabe.
“This restoration project will allow MMHA to continue to conduct outdoor practices and games at the annex during the winter months.”
