North Country This Week
Many local banks and credit unions are still open, but most now have restrictions on lobby access due to COVID-19 precautions. Drive-thrus and ATMs remain open, as well as online services.
SeaComm Federal Credit Union lobbies will be available by appointment only, starting Monday, March 23 until April 17. SeaComm’s offices in Massena, Potsdam and Malone have extended their call center hours and drive-thru hours. All other branch locations will follow their normal drive-thru hours.
Adirondack Federal Credit Union’s lobby was still open as of Friday, March 20.
Key Bank, Community Bank, North Country Savings Bank, and NBT Bank already have restricted their lobbies to appointments only, through requests by phone, online, or asking for further assistance at the drive-thru.
Banks are all encouraging online, mobile, and phone banking options for greater safety.
Banks are also warning customers to be careful of scams, and not to give out personal account information, banking account numbers, or online username or password.
